In Operation: Mata Hari, players step into the roles of cunning and unscrupulous spies, ready to do whatever it takes to obtain incriminating evidence, objects, and equipment necessary to complete your secret mission. Each exchange is a duel of wits, a game of veiled promises and half-truths intertwined in a dance of manipulation. The priorites are to avoid compromising your cover, and remain incognito until the end of the mission. Those who play their cards with cunning and expose their opponents’ moves will emerge as the Master of Deception.

Game Play

Respecting their objectives and trying not to expose their weaknesses to their opponents, the spies exchange resources critical to the success of their mission. In a delicate mix of truth and lies, They must use cunning to secure a profitable exchange, making truthful statements and trying to identify who is lying during the counter-offer phase.

Be careful, though, as your opponents’ allies are hiding among the various resources. These could allow them, for example, to blatantly lie when making declarations or to claim a specific resource you were saving for the right occasion.

The spy who best completes their mission is crowned Master of Deception.
