Kingdom of Kaldor is a beautifully presented full colour hardback book, the first of Columbia Game’s Kingdoms series for Hârn. Each Kingdom book contains political and player maps, detailed heraldry and genealogies, statistics on military resources, and prominent nobles families. The Kaldor book brings a feudal aesthetic to your campaign and also contains the highly detailed City of Tashal.
Tashal is the largest city in the Kingdom of Kaldor. In fact, it is the largest on Hârn after Coranan. The “Gray Lady of the Kald” is constructed almost entirely of local granite and oak, shingled with weathered gray cedar. These days she is appreciated more for her political and commercial significance than beauty. Beneath the city, extensive tunnels and sewers of ancient origin provide a wealth of adventure and encounter ideas.
An introduction to Hârn.
Hârn is a detailed, low-fantasy role-playing game setting created by N. Robin Crossby in the early 1980s. With rich, realistic world-building and gritty medieval feel, Hârn focuses on deep immersion and realistic social structures rather than high magic or heroic fantasy tropes.
The setting takes place on the island of Hârn, within the fantasy world of Kethira. Hârn combines medieval history with fantasy elements, including feudal politics, realistic economies, and limited but present magic. It features detailed maps, guides on everything from castles to weather patterns, and an emphasis on exploration and intrigue over combat-heavy gameplay.
