Braeford is behind you.
The thief who stole the Stellar Keystone remains at large, and all signs point toward Lake Town. Charged with carrying important dispatches from Captain Hamish and continuing the pursuit, the party sets out into the wilderness.
The journey will not be simple.
Travelers may follow the forest road westward, brave the rivers that flow toward Portal Lake, or wander far from either route in search of adventure. Along the way they will encounter bandits, smugglers, wandering travelers, dangerous predators, strange mysteries, and opportunities for both heroism and disaster.
Every choice shapes the journey. Every detour may lead to treasure, danger, or an entirely new story.
A Wilderness Sandbox
Unlike a traditional linear adventure, Road Trip presents a collection of encounters, locations, and opportunities that can be combined in countless ways.
Will the party investigate an abandoned rabbit warren? Aid travelers in need? Deal with smugglers and river pirates? Track dangerous predators? Or simply stay focused on reaching Lake Town?
The choice belongs to the players.
The World Begins to Open
Road Trip expands the scope of the Perils of Portal Lake campaign, introducing new factions, locations, and mysteries while giving players their first real look at the wider world beyond Braeford.
The adventure can be run after Module M1: A Miraculous Mousey Metamorphosis!, used as a wilderness side trek, or adapted into an existing campaign as a strange journey through a mouse-sized frontier.
