About Outgunned Adventure

Outgunned Adventure is a cinematic pulp adventure rpg inspired by the classics of the genre. From the immortal Indiana Jones, to The Mummy (1999), they’re all here. Outgunned Adventure is the first Genre Book in the Outgunned line, and you can play it either standalone or as an expansion to Outgunned.

Players take on the role of brave Adventurers in search of an invaluable treasure. Character creation is quick and thematic. Players pick a Role and a Trope, defining both their archetype (like sharpshooter, mastermind, or bruiser) and their cinematic style. This ensures every hero feels like they just stepped off the silver screen. The system thrives on momentum, encouraging players to take bold risks, fail forward, and keep the story moving in explosive directions.

The Director’s Cut Game System

Outgunned Adventures features a game system called Director’s Cut

• Roles are only made when there is risk or uncertainty in the character’s actions
• A set of mechanics using small pools of six-sided dice to determine the outcome of the Adventurers’ actions
• When rolling dice, the goal is not to score the highest or lowest possible number, but to roll two-, three-, and four-of-a-kind
