Description
Mappa Mundi
Mappa Mundi – An Exploration + Ecology RPG is a tabletop roleplaying game about exploring a world recovering from a century of ecological disaster and cultural isolation, a world populated by fantastical Monsters and Creatures that roam the Wilds, a world shaped by Fate.
Leave your sword at home, Chronicler! A sharp mind and a curious spirit are the only weapons you’ll need.
What is Mappa Mundi – An Exploration + Ecology RPG?
It’s a new TTRPG system providing players a world to explore, and the tools they need to do so. Taking on the role of Chroniclers — everyday people trained by the Mappa Mundi Institute — players set out to reconnect a world recovering from a century of ecological catastrophe.
Using a zero-combat system, Mappa Mundi asks players one simple question: How do you save a world without doing any harm?
With rules-light, narrative-first gameplay prioritising collaborative storytelling, it gives creative control over to players to shape the world they want to see. Recognising the agency of non-human persons and the environment, Mappa Mundi is a love letter to worldbuilding.
Choose from four Character Licences — Archivist, Diviner, Fixer, and Guardian — and forge your path through the ten regions of Evasu, each inspired by real-world cultures, histories, geographies, and ecosystems.
Explore lost and forgotten places. Encounter each and every type of life. Reconnect a world reeling from disaster. Tell stories and save the world!
