A Miraculous Mousey Metamorphosis! is the first adventure in the Perils of Portal Lake campaign for Shadowdark RPG. Designed for 1st-level characters, it introduces players to the mouse-sized world of Portal Lake and begins a campaign of exploration, survival, and discovery.
The adventure begins in the human realm, where the party is drawn into a mystery that leads them beyond their own world. Transformed into mice, they soon find themselves in the frontier settlement of Braeford, a small community struggling to survive relentless attacks from rat raiders.
To aid the village, the party must explore dangerous wilderness, investigate hidden threats, and confront enemies far larger and more powerful than themselves. Along the way they will discover that Portal Lake holds far greater secrets than anyone could have imagined.
