13th Age is both a game system (d20 adjacent) and a setting.
The Dragon Empire is now in its 13th age (hence the title of the game), where the previous ages left the ruins and relics our heroes explore. Each player character is linked to one of the “Icons” which may govern how a character responds in certain situations.
The Second Edition of 13th Age splits the core rules into Player and GM books, and updates and clarifies a few things. All previous 13th Age books are compatible with 2nd Edition.
