Free league’s game system for The One Ring is a bespoke refinement of the system originally developed for the 1st Edition of the game published by Cubicle 7.
The 2nd Edition version uses d6 and d12 dice (bespoke dice are available but not necessary) to reach a target number. More successes on the dice translates to higher success in the story.
The system also introduces distinct gameplay phases such as Adventure and Fellowship during which players complete tasks or develop their characters.
