Melderyn is Hârn’s oldest kingdom and is named after the island off the southeast coast where it was founded.
Commonly called “The Wizards’ Isle”, the many strange goings-on and mystical persons attributed to the island, give it a reputation as a place of mystery and enchantment.
Presented in a beautiful hardcover format, Melderyn is the second of nine fantasy kingdom books. Each kingdom book contains political and player maps, detailed heraldry, genealogies, statistics on military resources, and information on prominent noble families. The hardback also contains the cities of Thay and Cherafir.
Hârn is a detailed, low-fantasy role-playing game setting created by N. Robin Crossby in the early 1980s. With rich, realistic world-building and gritty medieval feel, Hârn focuses on deep immersion and realistic social structures rather than high magic or heroic fantasy tropes.
The setting takes place on the island of Hârn, within the fantasy world of Kethira.
